KKP-Pindad launches fisheries logistics ecosystem in zone II PIT
The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) together with PT Pindad International Logistic launched the logistics ecosystem for fishery products in Zone II of the Measured Fishing (PIT) corridor in Biak-Surabaya.
The ecosystem-based management is to bring the supply chain of fishery products closer from upstream to downstream, especially from the production center to the fish distribution center.
"Zone II is one of the zones that has high fish resources, but currently it has not been utilized optimally,
so that through the implementation of quota-based PIT, fish resources will be maintained and economic benefits will be realized in a sustainable and sustainable manner, especially for local communities," said Director General of Strengthening the Competitiveness of Marine and Fishery Products (PDSPKP) KKP Budi Sulistiyo as quoted from a press release in Jakarta, Saturday.
A logistics approach to ensure that fishery products are sent are carried out on time, in the right quantity, in the right quality, and in the right location, so that activities, During the test over the past month, as many as 20 ships that have been operating in Zone II have been shortened from 7-10 days to reach the fishing area, now it only takes 2 days.
